Diagnostic imaging
CT shows structures inside the body; thermography records temperature on the surface of the skin. The question you and your clinician want answered decides which one, if either, is appropriate.
CT combines X-ray measurements taken from many angles into detailed images of one body region, such as the spine, a joint or the sinuses. It uses ionizing radiation, so each scan should answer a specific question.

“Full body” refers to thermography (DITI), not a full-body CT or MRI scan. CT uses ionizing radiation; ask whether your examination needs a clinician’s order. Any scan can show an unexpected finding that needs follow-up with your clinician.
